Over Henrietta colborne

UK cyclist Henrietta Colborne started cycling on a tandem at the age of 8, soon going solo she started conquering the climbs of Cumbria winning the National junior hill climb championship. Through Beacon Wheelers cycling club Henrietta gained a covered place on the Great Britain Cycling National team and national titles soon followed. With a taste of international competition she moved to Europe to race, gaining as much experience as possible to different types of races from the women’s Giro d’Italia to Gent Wevelgem. 


Broadening her skill base Henrietta trained as bicycle mechanic, working as both tutor and mechanic at The Bike Inn mechanic training school in Europe and Asia. Further, she gained performance coaching qualification with British Cycling and acts as an examiner for the Association of British Cycling Coaches and personal coach at international level.



With the 2024 season around the corner her role in the team allows a mix of racing styles from team captain where she will pass on her experience helping teammates in race situations, to attacking or going for the win. Looking at the 2024 season Henrietta says:
